    'Royal Love'

    140 x 140 cm, acrylic on canvas

McDonald began painting 'Royal Love' in Eaton Square, London in the late spring of 2016.  The artwork was later moved to the Royal Lodge, Great Windsor Park to be completed by McDonald with HRH Princess Beatrice, HRH Princess Eugenie and Sarah, Duchess of York.

The artist asked the members of the British royal family how the painting made them feel and to place their spontaneous thoughts on the canvas using paint markers and brushes.

  • The painting was exhibited at Masterpiece London in June 2016 and sold at a private dinner.  The artist donated all proceeds from the sale to a children's charity.

*During this time, McDonald was known professionally as 'Teddy M'

*Contrary to some press reports at the time, the artist was not a family friend of the royals.
